Alpers Engineering Group provided commissioning services for the new 405,000-square-foot High School Campus Building located in San Marcos, California. The main four-story classroom building includes traditional classrooms and specialty classes. There are four additional facilities including Performing Arts, Gymnasium, Music and Studio.

This project was the largest commissioned high school project in California completed in 2014. This project was designed using CHPS guidelines.

After significant adjusting and testing of 100% of the commissioned systems, Nick Alpers approved its operation shortly before the facility experienced a shelter in place shut down. Four months after substantial completion, smoke from local forest fires triggered the shelter in place at the school, and all sequences worked as planned.
